Just over 8 kilometers, mostly flat, through fields, ditches, and tree-lined roads in an area rich in water and lush vegetation, not far from Cagli. An easy walk with magnificent views overlooking the Maiano plain and toward the Catria-Nerone ridge.

On foot, Walks
A pleasant walk of about 6 km along the slopes of the first hills of the Catria massif, near Cagli. A single climb leads to the highest point, then continues on a flat and downhill path. It passes the villages of Il Poggio, Montione, and Cabaldi, and the ancient parish church of Santo Stefano, now in ruins. Along the way, you can enjoy views of Frontone, the Fosso della Canala, and Mount Campifobio.
The climb of Monte Petrano is tiring, but beautiful and very panoramic. Once you reach the summit, you arrive at the extensive plateau, characterized by a vast prairie dotted with beech trees. The descent takes you to Moria, Pianello and Secchiano. The final stretch follows the path of the Bosso River, with beautiful views of the famous rock pools. The route can be travelled with either a gravel bike or a mountain bike.

MTB-Gravel
A long and challenging route that crosses all the main reliefs of the Catria massif. The variety of environments is extraordinary: meadows, beech forests, gorges and impervious rock faces. The final stretch leads to the Fonte Avellana monastery, the most important place of worship in the entire Pesaro hinterland and beyond. You can start from Acquaviva or Frontone, but Cagli is also a convenient base. The itinerary does not present any technical difficulties and can be easily covered even with a gravel bike.

A beautiful scenic route, which allows you to explore the wild valley of the Burano River, the plateau and the southern and northern slopes of Monte Petrano. The starting point is Cagli, but you can also get there from Cantiano or Pianello. It can also be done riding a gravel bike, but the surface, in some sections is rather uneven, better a mountain bike.
