A long but moderately difficult trail with a single climb, a long flat stretch, and a single descent. You'll encounter fields, meadows, woods, and isolated houses, both well-restored and in ruins. The trail forms a U-shape, skirting the Fosso dei Furlani and reaching the entrance to the Tecchie forest, a nature reserve. Once the initial climb is over, it's all fun and games.

Although you always remain at low altitudes, the view extends over the entire mountain range that goes from Monte Nerone to Monte Catria, with glimpses that also reach towards the Furlo gorge and the Frontone castle. A rather long, but not challenging, route that loops around places of great beauty and steeped in history. The Battle of Vilano took place here, marking a major victory for the partisan forces against the Nazi-Fascists. Don't miss the little church of the Madonna della Neve and, above all, the beautiful and imposing parish church of San Crescentino.
Not many people know about this trail, which takes you on a pleasant, effortless walk in less than two hours near the Parish Church of San Crescentino and the Balbano stream. You're unlikely to encounter anyone else; the magnificent scenery in every direction will keep you company.

An easy but beautiful hike. It always moves at high altitude, following the two ridges of the Serra dei Castagni and the Serra dell'Oncia. With an early start, it's possible even in midsummer thanks to the shade of the forest that lines the path. You'll pass old houses, some in ruins, others beautifully renovated. The Serra dell'Oncia ridge offers beautiful views of the Serra dei Castagni and Monte Nerone.

This long but not strenuous walk is one of the most pleasant due to the variety of landscapes and the presence of houses and small settlements along the way. It's an ideal walk for those staying or staying overnight in Cantiano.

This long but not strenuous walk is one of the most pleasant due to the variety of landscapes and the presence of houses and small settlements along the way. It's an ideal walk for those staying or staying overnight in Cantiano.
The route offers magnificent views of the ridge from Monte Nerone to Monte Catria and the stretch of the Burano River valley just above Pontericcioli. However, I must admit it's not among my favorites, and I'm only including it for completeness: it offers little shade, there are no interesting buildings or villages, and you have to travel a short stretch of busy road. The presence of many sheepdogs on a sheep farm also makes it a drawback.
A truly pleasant and undemanding route, starting from Cantiano and reaching the small hill of Collalto, south of the town. It includes sections of paved road with little traffic and interesting to explore. The upper section of the route offers stunning views in every direction. Ideal for those residing or staying overnight in Cantiano.
