A rather long, but not challenging, route that loops around places of great beauty and steeped in history. The Battle of Vilano took place here, marking a major victory for the partisan forces against the Nazi-Fascists. Don't miss the little church of the Madonna della Neve and, above all, the beautiful and imposing parish church of San Crescentino.
Not many people know about this trail, which takes you on a pleasant, effortless walk in less than two hours near the Parish Church of San Crescentino and the Balbano stream. You're unlikely to encounter anyone else; the magnificent scenery in every direction will keep you company.

Walks
The hills west of Cantiano, which precede the more pronounced elevations of the Serra di Burano, offer numerous walks through fields, woods, and magnificent views of the Apennine ridges of Catria and Nerone. This long but not strenuous walk is one of the most pleasant due to the variety of landscapes and the presence of houses and small settlements along the way. It's an ideal walk for those staying or staying overnight in Cantiano.

An easy and short itinerary that, starting from Cantiano, runs through meadows, fields and woods in the valley that separates Monte Petrano from the Serra di Burano. It takes place partly on asphalt roads and partly on dirt roads, but always in the absence of traffic. It can be made more challenging by starting from Cagli or Pianello.
